Expect genuine local growers selling fruit, vegetables, and nuts directly off the truck — no middlemen. It's a low-key, no-frills market, which is exactly its appeal.

2. SoCo Farmers Market

When: Saturdays, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Where: 3315 Hyland Avenue, Costa Mesa (SoCo at the OC Mix)

SoCo is the market with the most energy of the bunch — over 30 vendors, live music, free knife sharpening, and balloon animals for the kids. It's as much a Saturday morning hangout as it is a place to shop, which makes sense given the OC Mix backdrop of shops and restaurants around it. Great option if you're bringing the whole family.

3. Newport Harbor Farmers' Market

When: Saturdays, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Where: Newport Harbor Lutheran Church parking lot, 798 Dover Drive, Newport Beach (16th & Dover)

Tucked into the church parking lot at 16th and Dover, this one flies under the radar compared to some of the bigger markets, but that's part of the charm. It's run in partnership with Newport Harbor Lutheran Church and has a strong neighborhood feel — produce, local artisans, and a manageable crowd size that makes it easy to actually talk to your vendors.

4. Corona del Mar Certified Farmers' Market

When: Saturdays, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Where: Marguerite Avenue & Pacific Coast Highway, Corona del Mar

Running since 1996, the CDM market is a Newport institution. About two dozen vendors set up right at Marguerite and PCH, offering everything from fresh flowers and fish to tamales and baked goods. If you only have time for one CDM stop this weekend, this is it — it's walkable from most of the village, so pair it with breakfast on Coast Highway.

5. Mariners Church Farmers Market

When: Saturdays, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Where: 5001 Newport Coast Drive, Irvine (Mariners Church parking lot)

Technically just over the Irvine line, this market is a favorite for anyone in the Newport Coast or Crystal Cove area. It's large, well-organized, and consistently rated one of the better markets in Orange County thanks to its variety of vendors and easy walkthrough layout. Parking is off Bonita Canyon Drive & Turtle Ridge.

6. Newport Beach Farmers' Market

When: Sundays, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Where: Newport Pier, 70 Newport Pier, Newport Beach

This market puts you right on the sand, with produce, flowers, and fresh bread stands set up alongside the Dory Fleet Fish Market.
